Nicole Sumerlyn is a dynamic blend of classic country with a little bit of outlaw grit. Nashville based, this vocal powerhouse has been touring across Canada and the United States since the age of 14.
Her passion for music began at a very young age. She was 6 when she started playing the piano and then at the age of 12, she was given her first guitar. This pushed her to explore writing and creating her own songs.
“I grew up in a very musical family. My dad loved playing the guitar, and my mom the piano. My aunt is a trumpet player and my uncle is a music producer. In my house, we had Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson on repeat! This is why my parents felt it was so important to enroll me in a fine arts school at a very young age.”
Not only does she write on her own, she has co-written with Drew Trosclair, Alex Sire, Ryan Storsted, Brian Donkers, Dave Thompson and Jimmy Thow – just to name a few. Nicole delivers an unapologetic, authentic sound that invites fans to join the party in this new wave of country music.
Over the course of her career, Nicole has opened for artists such as Jason Aldean, Lainey Wilson, and Kip Moore. She loves engaging with her audience and is known for her high-energy performances. Inspired by music greats like Miranda Lambert, Gretchen Wilson and the Cadillac Three. She plays – on average – an impressive 240 shows a year.
Her music has been added to SiriusXM Top of the Country, and she has been featured on the likes of “Today in Nashville”, CTV Morning Live, and Global News Morning. On the road to her debut EP, Nicole Sumerlyn has kicked off 2025 with the release of her first single “Came From Dirt”. This country-rock anthem song is about growing up in the music industry in a hard-working, blue-collar family, reminding you never to forget where you come from.
The exciting July single release “Take the Money” has 100,000 streams on Spotify and 150,000+ views on YouTube for the supporting music video.
Nicole Sumerlyn joins Blake Rudd in collaboration with the new single release, “Hickman Holler” – written by Andrew Millsaps (ACM nominee for Neon Union), Drew Trosclair (known for cuts with Lauren Alaina, Walker Hayes, and the hit “Dicked Down in Dallas”), and Johno Clayton.

“I absolutely love to perform. I feel like entertaining is so important. Making the audience feel like they are part of the show and going on this musical journey with me is what makes what I do worth every minute!”
